In Ghana, teachers who are required to write licensure exams are experiencing fears and anxieties as the date for registration and the examination has not been officially announced. The uncertainty surrounding the examination has left many teachers uncertain about the future of their careers.

The National Teaching Council is mandated that all newly qualified teachers should pass a licensure examination before they are allowed to teach in any educational institution in the country. The examination aims to ensure that teachers meet the standards required to deliver quality education to Ghanaian students.

However, the delay in announcing the registration and examination dates has left many teachers worried about their career prospects. Some teachers have expressed concern about the possibility of missing out on job opportunities if they do not pass the examination in time.

Others have also raised concerns about the lack of adequate preparation time. Many of the teachers have been busy with their teaching duties and have not had enough time to adequately prepare for the exams.

The N.T.C has not provided any official explanation for the delay in announcing the registration and examination dates. This has led to speculation among teachers that the exams may be cancelled altogether or postponed indefinitely.

In response to the situation, some teacher groups have called on the N.T.C to provide clarity on the registration and examination dates. They have also requested that the N.T.C provides adequate preparation materials to help teachers adequately prepare for the examination.

The anxieties and fears among teachers highlight the need for the N.T.C to communicate clearly with teachers on matters related to their professional development.

It is essential that the N.T.C provides a clear roadmap for teachers to follow so that they can plan their careers and adequately prepare for professional examinations.

I even think dates for such examinations should be a fixed date so that teachers have fair ideas of the exact dates they are expected to write the exams. Materials needed to prepare are not even available.
Sure and this is creating fears in teachers
